An unnamed man from Santiago, Chile, hit a dog with his car on the local highway. The driver, certain that the dog had met its maker after the impact, decided to find a repair shop to inspect the condition of his vehicle.
Half an hour later he arrived at a repair shop, but the minor blemishes to the vehicle's front-end wasn't what caught everyone's attention. Believe it or not, it was the dog that had been trapped inside the car's bumper after the impact! Amazingly, the four-legged animal was alive having suffered only a broken leg! Initially there's just some old Toyota truck doing burnouts across five lanes of traffic (pretty normal, right?), but then someone else decides to get involved by doing a two-wheel side-stand in their SUV. That's really all there is to be said about this video, so enjoy it after the jump.

Santos, derived from the Department of Defense's Virtual Soldier Research program, is Ford's next stage of virtual work assistance. He works in a simulated Ford factory and measures the effects of real-world stress by combining a "complete biomechanical muscular system" with "predictive dynamics".

In its latest press release, the company revealed prices for the entry-level 4x2 Laredo model that starts from $30,995, while the 4x4 version of the Laredo will start at $32,995. The new Grand Cherokee is built at the Chrysler group's Jefferson North Assembly Plant (JNAP) in Detroit.

Scheduled to be shown for the first time this summer with a Paris Motor Show debut to follow in autumn 2010, the Astra Sports Tourer looks like a smaller version of the Insignia station wagon boasting a more raked roofline and a less boxy / conservative shape than the current model.

BMW's tangerine dream hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds, and peaks at 305 km/h (no electronic limiters here, folks).
Recently, they put out a challenge to the public: come up with different tests to help assess the Fiesta and see how it stacks up against some major players. This one pits the upcoming Fiesta hatch against a Lambo in some real-world (and Fiesta-centric) tests.

The "Black Current" bug is powered by a pair of forklift truck motors with 60 12 volt batteries and a Gearvendor over/under drive unit. This set-up is said to produce around 1200lb/ft of torque offering the Beetle EV a 0-60mph time of around 3 seconds.
Furthermore, the Italian automaker published the first pictures and teaser video of its "Formula Rossa" rollercoaster, billed as the fastest of its kind.
