2012 Maserati GranCabrio Sport



2012 Maserati GranCabrio Sport Review and Specs. Latest from Maserati to produce cars with a more charming, the maximum strength. No other car is the Maserati GranCabrio Sport. Equipped with a 4.7-liter v8 engine upgrade and increase horsepower by 10 to 450 hp. automatic transmission and increased fuel economy. This car also appeared at the geneva show in 2011.



Speed who owned 285 km / h and 0-100 km / h can produce good performance. Lavish display in the cab and underbody panels. six-speed transmission is a major mode of versions of this car.



The more-aggressive look is carried over inside the open-topped cabin, with a new seat-face design and drilled aluminium pedals. This car introduces changes to the gear-shifting system, with Maserati’s Active Shifting paddles now standard. The paddles, drawn from the Trofeo racing car, are longer than the standard steering column-mounted paddles and make shifting easier in enthusiastic driving.



This car give a 4.7-litre V8, taken straight from the high-performance GranTurismo MC Stradale. The new exhaust tips also help the Maserati to give a richer engine sound when the bypass valves are activated. The valves are always open in Manual-Sport mode, while they are open above 2500rpm in Auto-Sport mode.



This exhaust system allows Maserati to hit its target of improving the car’s performance and also give its customers access to a new open air musical theatre and a rich sound experience.

Maserati Quattroporte Automatica

Because of reliability problems and rough shifting with the Ferrari based semi-automatic transmission, a full automatic transmission with 6 speeds (by ZF) was presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2007 with the first cars delivered right after the launch, marketed as the Maserati Quattroporte Automatica.

The Automatica was made available with paddle-shifters on the Sport GT model as standard, but on the base model and the Executive trim levels paddles became an optional extra.


With the Automatica, Maserati completely redesigned the under pinning of the car to fit the new conventional automatic transmission and torque converter right behind the engine. They also converted to a wet sump oiling system for cost saving purpose

VIDEO: BMW 328 Kamm Coupe and Winning Maserati from the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2010


At this year's edition of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, BMW showed off a 328 Kamm Coupé replica that was built in-house by BMW Classic. The original model, named after the German aerodynamics pioneer Wunibald Kamm, disappeared without trace back in 1953.

The prestigious annual show was organized under the patronage of the BMW Group and was held on April 23-25.

Maserati Targeting BMW 5-Series, Announces Plans for New Entry-Level Model


The Fiat Group has revealed its future plans for the Maserati brand that include the presentation of a new entry-level model and a replacement for its flagship limo, the Quattroporte.

The announcement was made today during the presentation of the Fiat Group's 2010-2014 Business Plan to financial analysts and institutional investors in Turin.

According to the Italian automaker, the new model will carry a price tag under €55,000 (about US$74,000 at today's exchange rates) and will be positioned in the upper-end of the E-Segment that includes vehicles such as the Jaguar XF, BMW 5-Series, and Audi A6.
