Hybrid Efficiency Meets Lincoln Luxury in the 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid.
Lincoln has always been synonymous with luxury. In fact, the 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has more standard luxury. Features include the SYNC® voice-activated communications and entertainment system, walnut swirl or olive ash wood trim and Bridge of Weir leather-trimmed seating. This leather employs a chromium-free tanning process and can be recycled at the end of its life. And the wood trim comes from forests that are managed to strict environmental, social and economic standards.
The 2011 Lincoln MKZ features the standard dual-LCD SmartGauge™ with EcoGuide that provides feedback on fuel efficiency and your driving performance. It has a full-color display with leaves that appear or fade in real time based on short-term driving efficiency. As your driving becomes more efficient over the long term, flower blossoms appear in the display.

1966 Batmobile Replica Comes Under the Hammer at Auction

Yet another wannabe replica of the most iconic and distinctive film cars of all time, the 1960s era Batmobile, is going up for sale at the inaugural Historics at Brooklands auction in Surrey on June 2.
This particular example is based on a 1973 Lincoln Continental chassis and was completed in 1988, following input from well-known custom coachbuilder, Bill Chaplin.
But even though the 1966 Batmobile replica incorporates all the styling cues and Batman paraphernalia including an in-dashboard television, rear parachute pod, boot mounted exhaust pipes and Batphone, it's obvious that the car isn't a faithful replica of the original George Barris car that stared in the 1960s Batman and Robin TV series.

Lincoln to Reveal MKZ Hybrid at this Week's New York Auto Show

The Detroit News reports that FoMoCo will be revealing the MKZ Hybrid in New York, the Blue Oval's "first luxury hybrid".What you can expect is a Ford Fusion (or Mercury Milan), but with whatever passes for upscale Lincoln trim.
Chris Lemley, owner of dealerships in the Boston metro area, says, "I thought they should have done it before." Obviously, but as for getting people out of Lexus dealerships and onto Lincoln lots, "It depends on how fast they can get it to us...I'm also hoping that it will be priced competitively."
